Covid-19 Visitor Protocol

At Castlethorpe First School our main focus is for the safety and welfare of our pupils, their families and our staff. We are carefully adhering to the advice and guidance given by the Department for Education and Public Health England concerning the Coronavirus – COVID-19 situation.

Following the announcement by the government regarding school closures, we have remained open for key worker children and our vulnerable children. We are now preparing to open to our youngest children from June 8th depending on further government announcements. We continue to support home learning through daily contact from class teachers through our closed face book page matching the work as much as possible to work being done in school. Sadly all trips and events in the foreseeable future have been cancelled.

During this challenging time Castlethorpe First School is committed to protecting public safety. Consequently, our site is closed to everyone except staff, children of Key Workers with booked places, children in Rabbits class (from June 8th) who have booked a place and essential visitors.

If your visit is unavoidable, please contact or phone 01908510342 to book an appointment time and for further advice. If at all possible all appointments will be booked out of school hours (8.45-3.15) when there are no children in the building.

If your visit to the School is essential please ensure that you do not enter the School site if you have a temperature or a new, continuous cough or if you or anyone in your household is required to self-isolate in accordance with government guidance. You will asked to sign a form to confirm this.
