LATEST NEWS FROM CASTLETHORPE FIRST SCHOOL

April 2008

We are always looking for ways to improve our school environment and have got two exciting new projects underway at the moment. Friends of Castlethorpe School have kindly agreed to provide funding for the refurbishment of our school library. We shall soon have a completely refreshed library with new carpet, lighting, shelving and child friendly furniture. This project will hopefully be completed in the Summer Term 2008.

FOCS have also provided funding for some climbing equipment on our school playground. This was installed in the last few days of the Spring Term and the children are very much enjoying the new challenges and play opportunities which it presents.

We also had the wrought iron fencing at the front of school refurbished last February and are just about to have a kitchen gutted and re-fitted.

All of these projects help to maintain and improve the fabric of the building and ensure that the very best learning environment is provided for our children.
