    Last term, we were fortunate to have a visit from Valeria Espinoza a local lady, who comes from Peru.  The children really enjoyed hearing about her life in Peru, and in turn Valeria was really impressed with the knowledge the children already had! We can’t thank Valeria enough for spending some time with us!

  • We were lucky enough to learn about thatching this week

    We were taught about where the thatch comes from and how it is harvested. We then learnt about how it is put and secured onto the roof. The children asked lots of really good questions and were fascinated by the process. We then looked at the well in the garden and the goldfish in the pond, which tied in nicely with the Paddington Story that we are working on this week.

  • VSF Choir at Dickens of a Christmas - Olney

    The VSF Choir will be singing at the Christmas Tree Festival at St Peter & St Paul Church in Olney On Sunday 3rd December 2023, at 11.30am.

     

    The Christmas Tree Festival will be open to the public, 11am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.

     

    Refreshments will be available throughout the Christmas Tree Festival and there is an opportunity for visitors to make their own tree decoration or remember a loved one on the Memory Tree. Entry is free and visitors can buy a token to vote for their favourite tree. There will be story telling daily (11.15am and 3pm on Saturday, 12.15pm and 3pm on Sunday).
